In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1
The Story
In the beginning, there was God: The Father, the Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit [1]. Three parts, but one God [2]. In seven days, God created everything. On the first day, God created the earth, night and day. On the second day, he created the water and sky. On the third day, he formed the land and created plants and trees. On the fourth day, he created the sun, the moon, planets, and stars. On the fifth day, God created sea creatures and birds. On the sixth day, God created land animals, and lastly, he created people. All of God’s creation was good. On the seventh day, God rested. [3]
The Significance
From the very beginning, Jesus was there: with God and fully God [1]. In him, all things were created [4]. God’s plan for humanity was that we would have a full and abundant life, living forever with Him [4].
